Small and Healthy Habits

Over the past few weeks, I've noticed some changes with my lifestyle and my body. I kept wondering what I was doing that caused these changes, then I realized that it was because I had started to adapt and incorporate small and do-able habits into my every day life! One little change consistently can turn into a big change in the long run, so here are seven of my habits to share with you!

1. Drinking a glass of water first thing in the morning - A glass of water first thing in the morning can jump start your day and your metabolism.

2. Laying out my workout clothes the night before - Doing this is very effective for me because my workout clothes are the first thing I see when I wake up to get ready.

3. Walking to campus - Instead of driving or taking the bus, I walk to campus as much as I can in order to get my steps in. Plus, Boone is a beautiful place and I love soaking the scenery in when I walk.

4. Wearing my FitBit - This device seriously helps keep me accountable with how active I am throughout the day. My FitBit will notify me when I reach my goal count step, which is 8,000 steps a day.

5. Taking pictures of my food - This helps keep me accountable as well. Seeing healthier and colorful meals is so appealing to me and it also makes me feel better about my eating choices.

6. Drinking (and buying) calorie free and/or low calorie drinks - I really like Bubly's, OHS!, and Diet Green Tea from Lipton.

7. Keeping up with YouTube videos - When I need a break from studying or I have downtime, I love watching fitness and health videos to keep up to par with some of my favorite fitness gals or just to get inspiration and motivation.

I would love to know some of your small and healthy habits that you've incorporated into your daily routines!

One of my favorite bubly flavors.
